Mary Magdalene: Family Reflection Video

I always find more to discover in the story of Mary Magdalene.

Why did Mary Magdalene have such a great devotion to Christ? John tells us it is because she was burdened with demons and Christ lifted them from her. The relief she felt at being set free brings her to the tomb of the Lord, weeping at the loss in our lives.

The connection between Christ and each of us is a profound experience for all who know His love. Jesus never gives up on any of us. The exchange today is a reminder to keep searching; and yes, keep praying until we hear Jesus call us each by name.

Father Leo Polselli, C.S.C. is Chaplain at the Father Peyton Center in Easton, MA. Before coming to Holy Cross Family Ministries he served as a teacher and a parish priest. He also served for six years as a General Assistant of the Congregation in Rome, Italy. Originally from Fall River, MA, Father Leo grew up with eight siblings. Gifted with several languages, he is able to serve the Brazilian, Cape Verdean, Portuguese, Spanish and Haitian communities.
