Not as Man Sees Does God See: Family Reflection

Not as Man Sees Does God See: Family Reflection

Holy lives of inspiration

Not as man sees does God see because he looks into the heart.

That sentence was buried in the reading from the First Book of Samuel that described who would follow Saul as King of the Israelites. Several candidates were presented to God, but God rejected them. Instead God picked the most unlikely candidate, a young man, a shepherd with appealing features and God said anoint him, he is the one I want. The prophet Samuel took oil and poured it over David’s head and the Holy Spirit rushed upon David.

Not as man sees does God see, because God looks into the heart. God knew that David had a heart, a mind that followed the heart of God.

As we go about our life today make every effort to see others as God does, people made in his image and likeness. In our prayer today let us ask God to help us see others as he sees them. Ask God to help us look into people’s hearts and not judge them by their appearance.
