Speak Lord, Your Servant is Listening: Family Reflection Video

Speak Lord, Your Servant is Listening: Family Reflection Video

Love thy Neighbor  |  Holy lives of inspiration

Everything that we heard described in the  Scripture today will happen to us at one time or another … whether we are seasoned believers like Eli, the elderly prophet, or like young Samuel, the seeker with ears open to hear God’s call.

Be attentive to the voices calling out to us today that seek someone who will listen. Reach out to them, listen, and help them up. The story I shared with you today about a modern-day Eli reminds us that sometimes that is all that is required of us.

Every evening in the military, it is the soldier’s duty to report to the commanding officer, salute the officer, announce his/her name and say, “reporting for duty, sir.”

Let that be our prayer. Every night before you go to sleep, let God know you are reporting for duty: Speak Lord, your servant is listening.
