The Lord is Kind and Merciful: Family Reflection Video

Strengthening family unity

A recent visit had me thinking about foundations…

A seaside town is peaceful and serene as I look upon my surroundings, only to think of how different it was this past winter when storms flooded the area, taking away and flooding homes. I asked myself why do people continue to build in areas that are subject to destruction?

Jesus tells us faith needs a solid foundation to weather the storms life can throw at us. We listen, but continue to build in vulnerable areas. Jesus is offering us a teaching today that can help us weather storms and also rebuild broken lives.

What are some of the building blocks I have used to build a faith foundation in my life and in my family? If asked, would I share these foundations?

Let us pray for all those affected by natural disasters today, that they may stay safe and build solid foundations for their lives.
