What is Our Testimony?: Family Reflection Video

Why pray?  |  Strengthening family unity

What’s your relationship story with Jesus?

As followers of Jesus, each of us has a unique story to tell. Whether a conversion experience, an acceptance of Christ or a deepening of faith, we all have a story about our relationship with God.

For many of us the exchange between Jesus and Saint Thomas in today’s Gospel is very familiar. That is, our relationship with Christ began with hesitation. But like Thomas (no matter how doubtful we are), we have to be open to hearing what Jesus has to say, and allow him to speak to us through prayer!

Pray with your family and friends, and encourage each other to open your hearts to Jesus’ words. Begin with an Our Father:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

May God continue to bless you.
