What Matters to God: Family Reflection Video

Strengthening family unity

What happens when you keep it all for yourself; a lesson taught by Jesus.

Lots of things matter to God, one of them is sharing our gifts and not keeping them just for ourselves. “We cannot take the wealth we amass with us when we die,” Saint Ambrose reflected. “The companion that travels with us is the good we did with the gifts that God allowed us to possess while we were alive.”

Talk with your family about the importance of sharing, both physical objects (toys, books, electronics) and especially intangible gifts given to us by Jesus (listening, loving, helpfulness). How can you share your special gifts with those around you?

May you and your family remember to share what truly matters to God.
