They seemed similar enough.
People were confused by John the Baptist. Today we hear the people ask him who he is. He seemed like a similar figure to Jesus, he did things differently, but who was he, and who was Jesus? John answers he is not even worthy to approach Jesus, but he will do his best to spread word of the Son of God.
But still the question remains: who is Jesus today so that we can give an answer? The answer may be found in books, and teachings, but I believe it is within us. Our very baptism teaches us that Jesus is the Son of the living God. The answer is there, but we have to bring it forth.
Who do you say Jesus is today? How would we describe him in modern times?
Our prayers today are for those struggling to believe, to know Jesus. May they find the answer is within themselves.
