Who I Am, What I Believe: Family Reflection Video

Return to the Church

When explaining what you believe becomes increasingly difficult, what can you say?

More and more adult Catholics feel increasingly uncomfortable when asked to explain what they believe. Saint John has some encouraging words for those who feel inadequate to explain. He says the anointing we received from God at our Baptism and Confirmation is instilled within us and it gives us the ability to fully explain who we are and what we believe.

So, who are we? We are God’s adopted sons and daughters.

And what do we believe? Jesus Christ is true God and true man. We believe in the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins and the resurrection of the dead.

Our answer is simple, yet profound.

How can you help members of your family feel confident in explaining what we believe?
