With Faith Everything is Possible: Family Reflection Video

Why pray?  |  Return to the Church

Before he even finished asking Jesus for help, Jesus replied, “If you can! Everything is possible to one who has faith.” (Mark 9:23)

Many of us have faith yet we also know that what we often ask for doesn’t appear to be within our grasp.

I found inspiration in Psalm 19 today that provides us with an understanding of what faith is that assures us that all will be well, that all is possible.

Psalm 19 says that faith gives joy to the heart … that faith refreshes the soul. Faith is trust, trust that God is with us, that we can ask Jesus for anything, knowing that someone has heard us, that God has heard us. Faith assures us that God is watching over us, that God is teaching us, and what He is teaching us is right, just and clear.

Faith is the belief that God has us in the palms of His hands. Faith fills us with awe. Faith assures us that God is our Rock, our Savior.

Sometime today alone or with your family, remember to include a prayer of thanks to God for the gift of faith that can make all things possible.
