Family Reflection Video: And God said, “Let There be Light”

Did you realize that those were the first words that God spoke in the bible? (Genesis 1:3)Today we honor the thousands of Christians in Japan who suffered martyrdom in the 16th and 17th centuries, among them the Jesuit Saint Paul Miki and 16 Japanese laymen. These martyrs were like stars that God placed in the heavens and their light continued to shine.

Friends, like them, we have been given an incredible gift. A gift that can illuminate!

We know from the bible that many who touched Jesus were healed. Let us never underestimate the healing power that can issue forth from each of us who possess the Light of Christ.

Take some time to think about this. How do you bring light to others? Then discuss it with your family. I’m sure you will discover how you illuminate and lift each other up in so many ways.

May God continue to bless you and your family, and send His light into your home and your life!
