Family Reflection Video: You Raise Me Up

Jesus reaches out to catch us as though we are taking our first steps.

Peter’s fear of the storm as he walked towards Jesus speaks to the many fears that overcome us throughout our lives; fears that can debilitate and sometimes paralyze us.

The same way parents reach out to their children taking their first steps, Jesus reaches out to us. Peter is like so many of us who are not entirely certain that God will be there to catch us if we fall. Jesus reminds us that God is a loving parent, and will always be there, smiling toward our efforts to take those steps.

What causes us to fear? How does Jesus reach out to tell us He will catch us?

May the Lord catch you and your loved ones from falling today, and may your faith be strengthened by His love.
