The priests serving here at the Father Peyton Center want to extend our greetings and offer our prayers for all mothers this Mother’s Day with a gift of 50 Beads for Our Mothers, the Glorious Mysteries of the Family Rosary. Pray together as a family at home, outside with social distancing or online. Simply forward the document to everyone ahead of time so they can follow along. Recall that he had just washed the feet of the disciples and he was modeling for them a behavior. He was instructing his followers about service, humility and self- sacrifice. Then he said, if you understand this blessed are you if you do it. And ever since people have been doing it.

I watched a movie about a young woman who found her religious observance to be very restricting and not life-giving. I subsequently watched several other movies about this very conservative religious group. In each the theme was the same, a desire to seek a freedom or a way of life that was more life-giving.

Holy lives of inspiration | rosary novena
My day began with an email Easter greeting from a diocesan priest who I and other priests in my religious community assist since he is alone and is the pastor of the largest parish in our diocese. He acknowledged that with the pandemic parish life has had its challenges, living alone and apart from parishioners, learning to use modern day technology, stream mass and other religious services.
