I write this on the Solemnity of St. Joseph, but you won’t be reading it for several days yet. I cannot imagine what the world will look like even in that short time span, so perhaps my words are dated by the time you read this. Even so, I will share with you two ideas we are implementing as laypeople to encourage prayer and community.

It’s easy to be awed by God’s creation when you’re standing in the middle of a forest, at the edge of the ocean or at the Grand Canyon. But nature exists in every butterfly, blade of grass and potted plant.

Today the Lord is making an impassioned call to us to entrust and give ourselves to Him as He, the God of the Universe, has given Himself to us. There is a bit of action in it so you need to pay attention.

The scourge of the Coronavirus has brought pain and heartache to millions but many of us are also rediscovering some values that appear to have been forgotten in recent years among them concern and caring for one another and yes reaching out and touching one another something we are discouraged from doing during this crisis.
