My day began with an email Easter greeting from a diocesan priest who I and other priests in my religious community assist since he is alone and is the pastor of the largest parish in our diocese. He acknowledged that with the pandemic parish life has had its challenges, living alone and apart from parishioners, learning to use modern day technology, stream mass and other religious services.

Confirmation isn’t “graduating church.” For most Catholics, it represents a transition point from being a child to a young adult in the Church. Whenever and however a Catholic is confirmed, he or she is sure of receiving some pretty great gifts.

Return to the Church | Strengthening family unity
Dear Friends, today we remember my dear departed cousin, Judy Belanger Snell. Judy’s amazing grandparents lived the Catholic faith with a boldness that is often lacking today. Judy and I shared them with more than one hundred grandchildren and great grandchildren. I only hope and pray that some of their boldness has rubbed off on me and my generation.
