Reflections of Family and Faith
"The family that prays together stays together." - Venerable Patrick Peyton
Healing the family | Why pray?
Today, we gather to explore a profound message drawn from the Gospel of Luke. To set the stage, I'd like to share a personal story, an incident from my own life that emphasizes the enduring significance of this message. Back in 2005, as the administrator of a school in Northeast India, I found myself thrust into an extraordinary situation one evening.

Return to the Church | Why pray?
I invite you to reflect on a story that captures the essence of our tendency to procrastinate and delay what truly matters. It's a story of three young devils facing their final examination in Hell, a chilling scenario painted by Mark Link. They were trembling in cold sweat despite the heat. Their Principal, Professor Satanus, looked at them and said: "Just one question, what will you do on earth to bring a rich harvest of souls to me?"

We just returned from World Youth Day in Lisbon. Our experience was uplifting as it unfolded a radiant tapestry of faith, unity, and inspiration. Under the theme "Mary, Wake up the Youth of the World!" over 1.5 million young souls from diverse corners of our Earth converged in Portugal to renew their commitment to Christ. This event, a beacon of youthful zeal and deepened faith, is a testament to the power of Mary's intercession and to the impact of a faith community united in hope.

Healing the family | Why pray?
I want to share a story that illuminates an essential aspect of our faith and the challenges we face in the world. It involves a preacher and a manufacturer of soaps who met on the streets. The manufacturer, with a sneer, questioned the effectiveness of the gospel preached by the preacher, pointing out the presence of many wicked people in the world. But the preacher responded with a thought-provoking analogy.
