Reflections of Family and Faith
"The family that prays together stays together." - Venerable Patrick Peyton
Rosary with kids | family prayer | pray the rosary
“All good giving and every perfect gift is from above.” (James 1:17) We receive countless gifts from God in our lives, from food, clothing, and shelter, to the graces He gives us each day. When we are counting our blessings, do we remember to return blessing and adoration to God? The prayer of blessing and adoration is one of the five forms of prayer designated in the Catechism of the Catholic Church (blessing, petition, intercession, thanksgiving, and praise) — the form in which we worship God or invoke His grace.

Behold Your Mother | pray the rosary | seasons of motherhood
Today we will pray the Second Luminous Mystery: The Wedding at Cana. At the Wedding at Cana, Our Lady intervenes when the wine runs out and asks Jesus for a solution to this dilemma. Until now, Jesus has not performed any miracles or signs for His followers to see. Therefore, with her request, Mary demonstrates her remarkable faith and trust in her Son and His divinity. When she says to the servers, “Do whatever he tells you,” (John 2:5) she reveals her unwavering trust in Jesus and her openness to His plan.

Holy Week | Hope | Lenten Reflections
If your Lent has been like mine, it has been a season of darkness and dryness. Personal struggles, doubts, fear, discouragement, and dealing with the illness of my youngest sister are some of the challenges that have arisen on the journey through Lent, providing plenty of opportunity for built-in sacrifice and penance. Through the difficulties, however, the joyful theme of hope repeatedly emerged as the virtue to focus my attention on and embrace. I realized that I have been concentrating on the trials and hardships and taking my eyes off of Jesus and the hope of the Resurrection.
