Daily Family Prayer | Rosary with kids | family life
Over the years my family has done many special things to celebrate the Blessed Mother with little children: Mary crowning, Mary altar, reading about Mary, making a Mary peg doll ... and this year we are going to try a Marian terrarium, only because we do not have a place for a garden. However, the most important bit about celebrating Mary in May is attempting to pray the Rosary daily together as a family.

Return to the Church | Strengthening family unity
St. Paul tackles two topics that many are afraid to talk about: holiness and purity. He begins by telling the Thessalonians that he and the others have taught them how to please God. That phrase, “… how to conduct yourself to please God,” is a great reminder that we find our meaning, direction, peace, and joy when we put pleasing God first and not ourselves or others first.

Return to the Church | Why pray?
I invite you to reflect on a story that captures the essence of our tendency to procrastinate and delay what truly matters. It's a story of three young devils facing their final examination in Hell, a chilling scenario painted by Mark Link. They were trembling in cold sweat despite the heat. Their Principal, Professor Satanus, looked at them and said: "Just one question, what will you do on earth to bring a rich harvest of souls to me?"

Young people are acquiring the proper supplies, a positive attitude, and relying on parents and friends for support as they approach the beginning of a new school year. It is similar for parents, guardians, and teachers.

Today, let me begin by asking you a question: What common thread connects Saints John Mary Vianney, Padre Pio, Francis Xavier, Rose of Lima, Bernadette of Lourdes, and Thérèse of the Child Jesus? Beyond their lives of simplicity, honesty, unselfishness, and unwavering dedication to Jesus, these saints share another remarkable trait. They are incorruptible; their remains defy decay and emit a sweet fragrance without embalming. Even after decades of passing, their bodies appear peacefully asleep, a testament to the authenticity that defined their lives.
