"The family that prays together stays together." - Venerable Patrick Peyton

Celebrating family life | St. Joseph | family prayer | father's day
Father’s Day and Mother’s Day are what I consider to be the “trip wire” holidays … wonderful when they are brunches, BBQs, and rainbows, but potentially miserable if a family is estranged, grieving a parent, struggling with infertility, or painful for a myriad of other reasons. Celebrating family life | Return to the Church
It’s great to visit the Father Peyton Center in North Easton, Massachusetts for a few days! As I was born and raised around here and I have served in Family Rosary for so many years, this area will always be “home” for me. Some will remember that our Provincial Superior asked me to go to Santiago, Chile, so I moved at Christmas. As I have also served in that part of the world before, I was happy to say “yes,” and I have been getting settled in there well.

Today, as we gather in the presence of the Lord, we are reminded of the life and teachings of Saint Justin, an early Christian philosopher and martyr. Saint Justin's witness and faith continue to inspire us in our journey as families seeking to live out our faith in today's changing world. In our first reading, we are reminded of the beauty and wonder of God's creation. We are reminded of the importance of contemplating and appreciating the works of God's hands.
