An electrician went to fix a minor electrical problem at a family restaurant in the afternoon before the restaurant opened for the dinner hour. He met most of the staff as they introduced themselves to this visitor. He was so impressed by the warmth and friendliness and joyful good humor of the staff that he decided that he would take his wife to dinner the following Tuesday at this restaurant.

A dear friend of mine posted on Facebook last week a pondering about joy, especially amidst trials and the “drudgery” of life. Lamenting that so many moms do not seem to live in the joy of their vocation, she wondered, “How do we live joyfully? What does that even look like?”
